Watersports
There are numerous
marinas near to our apartment, including Cabopino, Benalmadena
and marbella and Puerto banus. Sailing
boats can be hired from these locations. In addition, numerous
beaches offer water sports such as kayak, jet-ski, catamaran,
pedaloes and banana boats direct from the beach, including
la cala, cabopino and the don carlos beach.
Golf
The apartment is situated
close to numerous excellent golf course. The closest is La
Siesta, which is literally a couple
of minutes from the apartment. La Cala, Capobina, miraflores,
, Santa Maria ,Artola hotel club , Marbella and Rio Real
golf club are all within a fifteen to twenty minute drive
of the apartment. The climate is perfect for playing all
year round.
Tennis
There is a fantastic
tennis club called the Costa Del Sol Tennis club, located
a couple of
minutes from the apartment. The centre has a gym, squash
courts, tennis and paddle tennis courts. The club also organizes
mix in and play sessions, which you can join in.
Horse Racing
There is a new
horse racing track at La cala, approximately 15 minutes from
the apartment, called the Hipodrome. There
is evening horse racing most Saturday nights during the summer,
and on Sunday afternoons in the winter. The complex also
boasts riding lessons for all abilities.
Miraflores Golf
Club.
This is situated
in the mountainous area of Mijas, in the adjoining
urbanisation of Riviera. This course has expansive views
across the sea. There are a number of tricky water hazards to
avoid.

Description
Situated 12 km from Marbella, this is very modern eighteen
hole golf course - par 71. It has spectacular views of the sea
and the Costa del Sol.

The course is
situated opposite the marina after which it is named. The
round is 5,170 metres long and has a par of 71. It was
designed by the Madrid architect Juan Ligués and has
spectacular views of the sea and the beautiful natural
surroundings, including a large number of magnificent
spreading pine trees. The course consists of three par-3’s,
two par-5’s, and thirteen par-4’s. The longest hole is the
14th, a 456 metre par-5, and the shortest is the 13th, a par-3
which is 134 metres from the yellow tee. It is a course where
those with a high handicap will enjoy using all of the clubs
in their bag and lower handicaps will have to take a risk on
every shot if their want to get round with a good score.
Among the most spectacular holes is the 3rd, a par-4 with a
raised tee and a green surrounded by bunkers and about 200
metres above sea level. The holes with lakes - the 13th, 14th
and 15th – are especially beautiful. The club is an
authorised official centre for making made-to-measure clubs of
the Titleist and Cobra brands.

green. The distance from the tees to the green varies
considerably, and although it is a short course, ideal for
short play, you have the sensation that you are playing on a
much bigger ground. The course is not too difficult. You can
use a wood to reach the green of the 7th. There are wonderful
views of the Mediterranean Sea from the 9th ho le. The

THE AZTEC
COUNTRY CLUB
The Aztec Centre
is in the heart of Riviera del Sol which is a sporting complex
with very good facilities. Olympic sized swimming pool, 7
tennis courts, badminton courts, mini golf and a gymnasium,
not to mention the beauty salon / hairdressers, pysiotherapist
and the proposed dance studio. It is open to non residents and
provides not only excellent reasonable priced food, but
evening entertainment for all ages. A newly constructed and
state of the art Internet centre and games room caters for all
ages. The atmosphere is very relaxing and to sit on the
balcony enjoying the evening sun and just people watching, is
in itself, a joy. As important the people that run it are not
only friendly but a real source of information. Trips, golf
rounds etc can be booked from here and for a small fee one can
use the clubs facilities.
The
Aztec centre is open to non residents and provides not only
excellent reasonable priced food, but evening entertainment

THE CLUB DEL
SOL
The Club del Sol
has 12 excellent tennis courts comprising 7 brand new clay
courts and 5 plexi-cushion courts.
The quality of the plexi-cushion courts is identical to those
which will be used at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004.
Seven
brand new clay courts are open 7 days a week from 09.00 in
until 21.30 hours.
Prices include the use of showers, lockers, sauna and VAT.
A bottle of water (33 cl.) is provided for each player free of
charge every time a court is booked.
1 hour of tennis (maximum 4 persons per court 17
euros.
Five high quality
cushion tennis courts. The quality of these courts is exactly
the same as the courts which will be used at the Olympic Games
in Athens in 2004.The rate includes VAT, the use of showers,

The Club del Sol
has four brand new squash courts, is open 7 days a week and
you can play squash from 9.00 in the morning until 21.30

Miraflores Bowls Club provides two all weather greens and due
to the climate of the Costa del Sol, members and guests are
able to play all year round. All guests are welcome, either

whilst leisurely watching a game.

Miraflores
Bowls Club nestles in the centre of the scenic Miraflores
residential complex, located on the main coastal road 10 mins.
from Fuengirola and 15 mins. from Marbella.
The club sports
two high quality artificial greens and an attractive clubhouse
located between the greens.
Marbella
This is a 10-15 minute drive from tha apartment. It is
well known as an upmarket seaside resort, with a lovely
beach
promenade, marina and old town.
Mijas.
Mijas Pueblo is a pretty village with typical Andalucian
white houses covered in jasmine and bougainvilla, small
squares, picturesque streets and panoramic views. Situated
on mountain foothills, it is surrounded by pine trees
and overlooks the Mediterranean.
Port Cabopino
This port is extremely picturesque, and a perfect place
to visit in the day or evening, with its fine beaches,
marina
and restaurants.
Malaga
This is a 25 minute drive away and is full of
wonderful history, with a castle, the Alcazaba, cathedral
and old town.
Ronda
This is one of the oldest cities in spain, and
set in a spectacular position. It dats back to Moorish
times, so is
full of palaces and mosques. It can easily be visited for
a day trip, and one certainly not to be missed!
Granada
This is home to the fabulous
Alhambra palace, set high in the sierra Nevada mountains. It
is approximately 2 hours
drive from our apartment.
