There is a lovely popular pizza restauarant next to the supermarket, which is open for lunch and dinner, with panoramic sea views. It sells pizza, pasta, salads and local fish dishes.

There is also a more formal restauarant, and a bar serving bar snacks, in the same vicinity.

The beach is down the hill, which is a 20 minute stroll, or a 5 minute car ride, with easy parking. There is a land train which runs hourly, linking the local supermarket to 2 big shopping centres and close to the beach.

Calahonda itself has restaurants for all tastes, including Spanish tapas bars, Chinese, Italian, English, French etc. It also has 3 main shopping areas, each with a very large supermarket, and lots of local shops and tourist shops. The fresh fish is excellent in spain, try the huge prawns and rosada.

La Cala and port Cabopino are only 10 minutes away and offer wonderful beachside restauarants , all reasonably priced.

There are several markets in the area, the best are on a Tuesday and Saturday morning in La Cala ( 10 minutes) or a Tuesday morning in fuengirola( 15 minutes).
